Highlighting my latest work and creativity with the help of AI

Problem

After being laid off from my job in June of 2026 I needed to update my portfolio website to begin looking for my next opportunity. I needed to update my site with my latest work from the past six years but I also wanted to redefine my personal brand to represent the designer I had grown into, over that same time. Ultimately, I wanted to create a memorable digital experience that reflected who I am as a designer.

My work

  • I began mapping out the site map, early concepts for different web effects and interactions with hand-drawn sketches
  • I searched and reviewed different award winning portfolio sites and WebGL effects galleries for inspiration for my site
  • I designed low and high-fidelity mocks of different pages and interactions through out the site
  • I built my site exclusively with Claude Code, using natural language prompts and links to my designs in Figma

Results

  • In less than two months I designed and launched my portfolio site, which included my work, custom WebGL effects, refined interactions, curated typography, and motion.
